Matodzi Ramashia is a member at SAVCA and a director in our Corporate and Commercial Practice. His core focus is on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, corporate restructuring, private equity deals, strategic investments, joint ventures and corporate governance matters. Matodzi has advised South African and multinational clients in various sectors.

He also has a keen interest in early-stage funding structures including convertible notes, SAFE instruments and seed series preferred share structures.

Matodzi also advises on aspects of entertainment and copyright law with a specific focus on the music and film industries.

Matodzi served articles at Werksmans Attorneys in 2009 and was thereafter retained in the corporate commercial department, becoming a senior associate in 2013. In 2014 he joined TGR Attorneys where he specialised in Mergers and Acquisitions and Banking and Finance.
